Executive Board

The Student Bar Association Executive Board exists to represent every law student’s ideas and interests before the Faculty and Administration of Florida State College of Law. Elected by the student body, we work to implement innovative ideas and solutions in an effort to solve the biggest issues facing law students, to promote and strengthen the law school, and to make each student’s time at FSU COL the best that it can possibly be.  President- Will Hall

A native of Tallahassee, Will has worked hard to serve his fellow students at FSU Law. As Vice President, he organized block seating for home football games and led the process of selecting justices for the FSU Supreme Court. As a 1L Representative, he helped launch the Admissions Office’s Peer Leader program, which reaches out to admitted students and seeks to ease their transition to law school. During his term as President, Will plans to improve the organization of intramural sports, increase SBA involvement in community service projects, and to continue building a sense of community within the law school.

Will graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in journalism in 2005. While at Missouri, he worked for the Sporting News magazine, the university’s student newspaper and several other publications. After graduating, he moved to Washington, D.C. to take an internship in the U.S. Senate. Following that internship, Will served as the Senate floor editor for a legislative tracking firm whose clients included several high-profile lobbying firms, government agencies and foreign heads of state. He is a member of the FSU Moot Court team, and he argued before the Florida Supreme Court after being selected as one of the team’s "Final Four" in 2007. Once he completes law school, Will hopes to settle in the Tallahassee area and attend as many Seminole sporting events as possible.


 Vice President- Andrew Fay

Andrew Fay was born and raised in the great city of Tampa, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from FSU’s College of Business (Go Noles).  Andrew’s extensive experience with State Government includes working under Florida Governor Charlie Crist, Lieutenant Governor Jeff Kottkamp, and his State Representative Trey Traviesa. Serving as Vice -Chair of the Committee on Parking Improvement during his 1L year, Andrew helped students by finding solutions to one of the biggest problems at the College of Law.  Andrew was selected in the Spring of 2008 to serve on the Dean’s Kitchen Cabinet, a select group of student leaders at the College of Law that represent student issues and concerns before the Administration. Andrew also finds time to contribute to FSU Law’s intramural football team. He was the only first year law student to tryout and make the team in 2007.


 

 Treasurer- Ashley Mayer

Ashley is from Boynton Beach, Florida and attended undergrad at Vanderbilt (Go Dores!). Currently she serves as Treasurer, after serving as a 2L Representative for the 2007-2008 school year. Aside from SBA, Ashley is a member of the Florida State College of Law Moot Court team, volunteers as a Guardian Ad Litem with the Second Circuit, was a Florida Bar Public Service Fellow, and participated in the Florida Senate’s legislative intern program. She is excited to once again help make the FSU student body the best it can be, and she encourages students to contact her with any suggestions, especially in regards to Job Placement and Career Services. If you are interested in any other organizations Ashley is involved in, please feel free to contact her as well. Ashley looks forward to helping you make this another great year at FSU Law!


 

 Secretary- Nicolette Bidarian

Nicolette Bidarian served as a 1L representative on the 2007-2008 SBA Executive Board. Nicolette was also the Vice Chair of the Committee on Creating Facilities that Meet Students’ Needs. She is originally from Tampa and attended the University of South Florida for her undergraduate degree where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in history and minor in international studies. As an undergraduate Nicolette was awarded the Judith Rosenkrantz award for outstanding historian for the senior class of 2007. Additionally, she was the recipient of the summer 2006 National Iranian American Council Public Policy fellowship, she also received first place in research for Humanities at the USF Undergraduate Research Symposium in spring 2006, and she received the Temple Terrace Women’s Club Scholarship Award in spring 2006. She also has experience working with the federal government after completing a congressional internship in the office of U.S. Congressman Jim Davis in Washington, DC during the summer of 2006. Nicolette looks forward to this great opportunity to better serve FSU Law and to better serve the student body.


 ABA Sr. Representative- Sherria Williams

Sherria is from Miami, Florida. She is a 3L and proud to be a part of the 2009 graduating class. Sherria served as ABA Jr. Representative, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Empowering Student Organizations, Co-Chair of SBA Events, and Chair of SBA Elections on the 2007-08 SBA Executive Board. Sherria is interested in Entertainment and Sports Law, Family Law and Criminal Law. Sherria had the opportunity to serve as the Community service Chair and the Member- At- Large of our nationally recognized local BLSA Chapter. Sherria also served as Parliamentarian on the Southern Executive Board for the National Black Law Students Association. She was a recipient of the 2007 Public Service Fellowship where she was able to assist low income individuals in civil matters at Legal Services of North Florida, Inc. Sherria enjoys giving back to her community by taking the time to mentor young teenage girls in Leon County. Her favorite quote is "Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down." - Oprah Winfrey


 ABA Jr. Representative- Chris Tanner

Chris was born and raised in Tampa and is currently a 2L.  He graduated from FSU with a degree in biology and then worked in Tampa at his family’s small paint company before moving to Washington DC to be a White House Intern and ultimately serving as assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor.  Chris is a member of the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy, and he serves as Co-Chairman of the SBA Committees on Academics and Jobs and Placement.  Please contact Chris if he can be of any help or if you have any ideas!


 FL Bar Representative- Abby Robinson 

Abby is a die-hard Seminole fan from Orlando, FL.  She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Real Estate and Marketing from Florida State University in 2007.  As an undergraduate student, Abby was involved in many organizations including The Student Alumni Association, FSU Athletic Department, Garnet & Gold Key Leadership Honorary and Kappa Delta Sorority.  In 2006, Abby was selected as an FSU College of Business spotlight student at the 12th annual Real Estate Trends and Networking Conference.  In addition to being the Florida Bar Representative, Abby is also a founding member of the FL Bar Association- Law Student Division.  She is currently a member of the Florida State College of Law Mock Trial Team, Real Estate Law Society, and Women’s Law Symposium.  Abby is the Broad & Cassel Scholarship recipient and is clerking in their Tallahassee office this summer.  She anticipates practicing law in the southeast possibly in the areas of real estate, corporate law, finance or insurance.  Last year, as a 1L Representative, she formed relationships with students, faculty, administration, and local Tallahassee Bar attorneys which will all allow her to serve her student body more effectively this year.  Abby enjoys traveling, sporting events, good food and good friends.

  

 


 3L Representative- Jeff Patenaude

Jeff is originally from Chicopee, MA and now resides in St. Petersburg, FL. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN as a political science and psychology double major. While an undergraduate student, Jeff was involved in school life as an interviewer in the college admissions office, a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, and a representative of the Senior Alumni Leadership Council. In past summer experiences, Jeff has worked as a law clerk with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida and as a summer intern with the United States House of Representatives Committee on Rules. Jeff transferred from Stetson University College of Law, where he actively participated in many groups on campus, including the SBA. Jeff served as Transfer Representative and Chair of the Committee on Parking Improvement for the 2007-08 SBA Executive BoardJeff was also a member of the Dean’s Kitchen Cabinet, a select group of student leaders at FSU Law that represents student issues and concerns before the administration. Jeff hopes to use all of his experiences to bring a unique perspective to the FSU’s SBA and hopes to help FSU Law reach it’s maximum potential as a top national law school. Away from classes, Jeff enjoys the outdoors, golf, and watching sports. 


 3L Representative- Brett Metcalf

Brett was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and received his Finance degree from University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business.  As the leader of the Gator Nation’s Tallahassee branch, Brett encourages any and all collegiate sports conversations as he is eager to share his objective insight.  Brett served as the Intramural Coordinator for SBA during his 2L year and was the captain of the men’s flag football team.  By stressing the importance of balancing the law school workload with sufficient personal time, Brett has been a positive influence on the social lives of his fellow students since his arrival at Florida State.  As a 3L Representative, Brett plans to increase the quantity and improve the quality of SBA-funded socials. Brett will also continue to work to see that everyone who wants to get involved in intramural sports gets the opportunity to play.  If you have any questions for Brett or suggestions for socials, don’t hesitate to contact him. 


 2L Representative- Mike Redondo

Mike was born and raised in sunny Miami, Florida.  He attended the University of Florida where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2007.  Mike has always striven to be involved in his educational experience, and held numerous leadership positions while attending UF including President of the University Economics Society.   Currently, Mike is a member of the FSU College of Law Moot Court Team, the Law Review, and is one of the 2L representatives on SBA’s Executive Board.  When not hitting the books, you can find Mike at one of the many social events hosted by SBA or finding other fun ways to take a break from the law school grind.  Mike is committed to serving FSU Law and the 2L class, and he looks forward to making your law school experience the best it can be!


 2L Representative- Jessica Pulsifer

Jessica is from Jacksonville, Florida and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia as a religion major, nutrition science minor. Public interest law is her passion, and she is the Co-Chair of the SBA Community Service and Sports committees. She hopes you will contact her with any great ideas you have. She is also the current treasurer for both the Law School Golf Association and the Democratic Law Students Association. Outside of school, Jessica enjoys running, cooking, socials, non-law school related books, becoming an avid golfer, and playing with her cat Presley. This is Jessica’s first SBA position, and she looks forward to actively serving FSU College of Law.

 Faculty Advisor- Professor Wolf

Professor Wolf has been the faculty advisor for the Student Bar Association since 2005. She provides both support and encouragement, while helping to promote a vital working relationship between the Faculty/Administration and SBA. Professor Wolf is a member of the first-year writing faculty, teaching Legal Research and Writing I and II.

Her most recent legal work has been in private practice with the firm of Gardener, Shelfer, Duggar and Bist in Tallahassee. Prior to that, she worked in the Florida Attorney General’s Office, clerked for Judge Hersey on the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal and served as Assistant State Attorney in West Palm Beach. Professor Wolf received both her Bachelor of Arts and law degree from Florida State University. She specializes in research, writing and oral advocacy, using these skills in numerous legal areas throughout her career.
